I was in a Texas Hold'em tourney this morning (for play money chips) and hit 2 quad wins in a row and went on to win the 800,000 chip pot! I'm a pretty good player but the odds of getting quads twice in row on a real poker table in a casino are virtually impossible. Gotta love PokerStars. :-)
As a fellow poker enthusiast - the odds are actually this - odds of final quads with non-paired hole cards are .1% (1 in 1,000) - odds of final quads with paired hole cards are .8% (8 in 1,000) but the odds of paired hole cards to begin with are 5.8% (6 in 100). The multiplication of these three events then bring Sarmora's chances of that happening again to 1 in 2,500,000 hands - time to buy a lottery ticket.
ReplyDeleteNow that is very sweet. Like the person said, you might want to buy a lottery ticket
